Alamosa Pride Day

Alamosa Pride Day

SNHS partnered with Alamosa residents to clean up the neighborhood. Click the photo to learn more!

Southwest Neighborhood Housing Services, the city of Albuquerque and the Alamosa Neighborhood Association joined forces to beautify one of the most energetic neighborhoods in Albuquerque. Marty Padilla at Lewallan Mortgage served up more than 200 hotdogs and drinks and Mega 104.1 broadcast live from Alamosa Park. Juan Candelaria, of Genesis Investment Realty gave away a barbeque grill. The city of Albuquerque hauled off six giant dumpsters full of garbage and residents participated in a massive large item pick up. SWNHS purchased 3 AC units for Alamosa residents who needed them and installed them the next week.

Learn what's in store for West Central and discover the numerous home ownership opportunites available at SWNHS!

The West Central Community Development Group will be at the free concert to unveil new ideas for West Central, Atrisco Entertainment Center, Central and Old Coors and the Central/Unser Business Park. SWNHS will be on hand to promote affordable homeownership opportunities, 100% financing for First Time Hombuyers, and housing rehabilitation programs. SWNHS is pround to partner with the West Central Community Development Group to bring positive change to Albuquerque's neighborhoods.

Community Commitment Program Homebuyers’ Education

English classes are on Mondays and Thursdays and we feature a class in Spanish on Tuesdays.

First Time Homebuyers Education Course.

This free class will be held during the firsxt week of August. Call today to register. Be prepared to devote eight hours to the course which will cover the entire home buying process from start to close. This course is mandatory for closing cost and down payment assistance and for our Habitat for Humanity or Bernalillo County Housing Authority programs.
